About the Artists
Cuarteto Latinoamericano, the world’s leading proponent of Latin American music for string quartet, was founded in Mexico in 1982. Winners of the 2012 and 2016 Latin Grammys for Best Classical Recording, the Cuarteto Latinoamericano has been quartet in residence at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and founded the Latin American Academy for String Quartets in Caracas, Venezuela, under the auspices of El Sistema.
