With a “dark-hued tone and razor-sharp technique” (New York Times), violinist Yevgeny Kutik has captivated audiences worldwide with an old-world sound that communicates a modern intellect. Praised for his technical precision and virtuosity, he is also lauded for his poetic and imaginative interpretations of both standard works and newly composed repertoire. Kutik is also artistic director and cofounder of the Birch Festival.
For this recital, he performs with Boston pianist Dina Vainshtein, recipient of the special prize for best collaborative pianist in the 1998 International Tchaikovsky Competition.
String Masters Series is artistically directed by Andrew Mark and part of Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s Artistry in Action series.
