The Cunning Little Vixen
Leoš Janáček's delightful opera follows the adventures of Vixen Sharp Ears and teaches us all about the cycle of life and the restorative power of nature. The story was taken from a popular Czech newspaper comic strip in the 1920s, and Janáček's brilliant score captures the humor and politics of the day, the amazing sounds of the natural world, and the profound lessons offered by the miracle of life.
