About the Artist
Boston-based musician Walter Yee is dedicated to exploring the musical landscapes of contemporary music of the 20th and 21st centuries. Quickly establishing himself as a soloist, chamber musician, educator, and administrator, Yee has had the great pleasure of collaborating with amazing groups in New England.
Yee is currently the program coordinator with New England Conservatory’s Preparatory School, overseeing their chamber music, theory and composition classes, and jazz department. As a chamber musician, Yee has had the honor of joining the Boston-based bass clarinet ensemble Improbable Beasts, as well as collaborating with the Boston cohort of the New Music Collage, an organization dedicated to supporting the creation and performance of new music and the promotion of underrepresented, emerging artists.
