Piano Masters Series is honored to present the renowned pianist Boris Bloch in his Boston debut, performing a dynamic program of works by Mozart, Schubert, Prokofiev, and Chopin.
Since winning the Busoni, Schumann, and Young Concert Artists competitions, Bloch has become established as one of today's true master pianists, performing and recording with the world's great orchestras and conductors. Also a renowned opera conductor and teacher, he has been awarded the Golden Badge of Honor from the International Liszt Society and the Grand Prix du Disque Liszt.

About the Artist
Boris Bloch, internationally acclaimed pianist and conductor, has long been regarded as one of the most important interpreters of classical and romantic piano music, commanding an impressive repertoire that extends from Scarlatti and Bach, the Viennese Classicists, Chopin and Liszt, and covers the German and Russian Romantics to the most important composers of the 20th century. Throughout his career, he has won several prestigious awards—including first prizes at the Soviet-Union National Piano Competition, the “Ferruccio Busoni” International Piano Competition (Bolzano, Italy), and the Young Concert Artists International Auditions (New York)—and he has performed as a featured soloist with European orchestras such as Vienna, Leipzig, Berlin, Bergen, Rome, Budapest, Kiev, Moscow, and Saint Petersburg, and with U.S. orchestras including Cleveland, Houston, and Pittsburgh.
