Piano Masters Series: Michael Lewin
Don't miss the rare chance to hear faculty artist Michael Lewin play a Boston recital. Winner of the Liszt Competition and a Grammy Award, Lewin's active international concert career and 13 solo recordings have established him as a pianist with profound musical understanding, rare control of colors, and intensely communicative playing. His wide-ranging program spans four centuries of music, from Scarlatti (1700s) to Golijov (2004).
Lewin is the first artist to perform on Boston Conservatory at Berklee's newly installed Bösendorfer 280VC Concert Grand piano. Boston Conservatory's Seully Hall is one of the few halls in the world that houses this brand new instrument, which was under development for years and is now receiving critical acclaim on concert stages throughout the world.
