Acclaimed American pianist and Rebecca Penneys performs an all-Chopin program.
Penneys has long been acknowledged as one of America’s premier pianists, with daredevil technique, a charismatic stage persona, and unique musical interpretations. Launched at a young age with solo prizes at the Chopin, Paloma O’Shea, and Vianna da Motta competitions, and winner of the Naumburg Competition with the New Arts Trio, her tours take her throughout the world. Penneys will present a piano master class to Conservatory students on Wednesday, November 9, from 4 to 6 p.m. in Seully Hall; this event is free and open to the public.
