BBC New Generation Artist and Avery Fisher Career Grant recipient violinist Tai Murray is joined by pianist Hee Kyung Juhn in a recital of works of Beethoven, Jeffrey Scott, and Ian Wilson. Murray’s artistry has been described as "technically flawless…vivacious and scintillating…It is without doubt that Murray’s style of playing is more mature than that of many seasoned players…" (Muso Magazine).

About the Artists
Tai Murray, violin, has been praised by Muso Magazine for her “technically flawless… vivacious and scintillating” performance. She was an Avery Fisher Career Grant winner (2004), a BBC New Generation Artist (2008–2010), and member of Lincoln Center’s Chamber Music Society II (2004–2006), and has performed on major stages around the globe with leading ensembles such as the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Symphony Orchestra, and the BBC symphony orchestras. Murray has also recorded multiple critically acclaimed albums, and performs on a violin by Tomaso Balestrieri fecit Mantua ca. 1765, on generous loan from a private collection. Hee-Kyung Juhn, piano, has appeared as a soloist with New York Classical Players, Pine Bluff Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfónica de la Ciudad de Asunción, and others, and performed in venues such as Seoul Arts Center, Kumho and Sejong Cultural Center, Teatro Municipal in Asunción, Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall, and Utzon Room in Sydney Opera House. In addition, she also recorded J.S. Bach’s Goldberg Variations with MSR Classics. The New York Concert Review declared her “a top notch, superb pianist, technically brilliant…subtle” and Gramophone wrote, “her acumen for voice-leading lends impressive clarity.” Learn more about Juhn here.
