Limitless presents an evening of masterwork reconstructions and world premieres, including Conservatory faculty member Kurt Douglas's restaging of José Limón's A Choreographic Offering; reconstructions by preeminent choreographers Kate Weare and Margo Sappington; world premieres by hip-hop artist Jennifer Archibald and renowned choreographer and director Otis Sallid; and the Metallica Project, a Conservatory/College collaboration featuring a contemporary dance reimagination of Metallica's songs arranged, recorded, and performed in four different styles by the Berklee Indian Ensemble, the Berklee Balkan Choir, Berklee Global Jazz trio, and the Berklee American Roots Ensemble.

Each spring, the Boston Conservatory at Berklee Dance Division teams up with award-winning guest choreographers to stage world premieres and masterwork reconstructions in the school’s annual spring dance concert, Limitless. This year, alongside five other works, Associate Professor of Dance Kurt Douglas shares a treasured piece of dance history with his students—a reconstruction of José Limón’s A Choreographic Offering, originally performed by the Limón Dance Company in 1964.
