Boston Conservatory at Berklee musical theater senior Maeve Reilly directs The Convent by Jessica Dickey. A dark comedy about desire, devotion, and the deep truths of one's life, The Convent follows the story of a group of women go on a retreat to live like nuns in the Middle Ages and are baptized with 1980s pop, female mysticism, hallucinogens, and sex.
Audience Advisory: This performance contains strong language and mature themes, including talk of self harm, misogyny, sex, and abandonment.

Director's Note
Thank you so much for coming to tonight’s performance of The Convent. This play is wonderful, weird, sad, hilarious, and soooo silly. Each member of our cast is a treasure, and I feel so profoundly lucky to have worked with these women to create this world together. I am extremely grateful to have you here, and I hope you enjoy the show.
