Twenty-five-year-old Japanese pianist Yukine Kuroki has been taking the piano world by storm. In a one-year period, she won first prize in the Liszt Utrecht Competition (2022) and the Dublin International Competition (2022), and third prize in the Rubinstein Competition in Israel (2023). Now performing worldwide, her concerts this season include Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Verbier Festival, and the Concertgebouw. This is her Boston recital debut.

The Boston Conservatory Piano Masters Series is a popular and unique piano series, presenting a diverse and international array of world-class pianists in rare Boston recital appearances and master classes. It allows Boston music lovers to hear these great artists perform solo recitals in an intimate venue, for a nominal cost, and to enjoy their fascinating master classes with talented Conservatory students the following day, free of charge. About the Artist

Yukine Kuroki has conquered the hearts of many in recent years, with an unparalleled number of major competition victories in a single year, becoming top winner of the Liszt Utrecht Competition (2022) and the Dublin Piano Competition (2022) as well as third prize–winner at the Rubinstein Competition (2023). Since then, she has been performing all over the world, including sold-out debuts at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam with the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra, as well as the Tokyo New City Orchestra, the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, the Kanagawa Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra, among others. She recently finished her master’s program at Showa Graduate School of Music, studying with Fumiko Eguchi.
This upcoming season will see Kuroki making her debut at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Munich Gasteig, Villa Wahnfried Bayreuth, the Verbier Festival, and Kuhmo Hall in South Korea, as well as her return to the Dublin National Orchestra and Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Her recordings Christmas with Yukine and Live at Liszt Utrecht can be found on all streaming platforms.
