The BoCo Pops presents the 1922 silent film Nosferatu by F. W. Murnau, featuring works by Boston Conservatory at Berklee and Berklee College of Music composers, led by graduate student conductors N. F. Pratama, Harold Rivas Perdomo, Julian Dürr, Christine Le, Edith Mora Hernández, and Simon Sadiković.

Nosferatu, directed by F.W. Murnau and released in 1922, is a silent horror film that is an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The film features Max Schreck as Count Orlok, a vampire who preys on the unsuspecting residents of Wisborg. Its eerie visuals—particularly the use of shadow and light, and the haunting performance of Schreck—have made it a landmark in cinema history.

The film is notable for its expressionist style, contributing to the horror genre and influencing countless adaptations of vampire lore. Despite legal battles over copyright, Nosferatu has endured as a classic, celebrated for its innovative techniques and atmospheric storytelling.
