Artistry in Action: String Masters Series—Jordan Bak, Viola, and Ji Yung Lee, Piano
Violist Jordan Bak has been hailed as “a powerhouse musician, with a strong voice and compelling sound” (The Whole Note) and praised for his “haunting lyrical grace” (Gramophone). The recipient of the London Philharmonic Orchestra’s Alexandra Jupin Award and a former Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) Robey Artist, Bak was also a prize winner in the Sphinx, Lionel Tertis, and Concert Artists Guild competitions.
Bak will be joined by pianist Ji Yung Lee, the special award winner at the Salieri-Zinetti International Chamber Music Competition in Italy and a vocal coach for Boston Lyric Opera. They will perform an exciting program of works by Hindemith, Brahms, Coleridge-Taylor Perkinson, Florence Price, and newer works by H. Leslie Adams, Andrea Casarrubios, and Jessica Meyer.
String Masters Series is artistically directed by Andrew Mark and part of Boston Conservatory at Berklee’s Artistry in Action series.
