Patsy Collins Bandes joined the Conservatory as the production stage manager in 2004 and joined the theater and dance faculty in 2006. She was chair of the Conservatory's Theater Division from 2019 to 2022. 

Bandes has directed Urinetown, Cloud 9, Skin of Our Teeth, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, Good, and Waiting for Godot and codirected Assassins and The Wild Party for Boston Conservatory. Some recent productions as stage manager include The Threepenny Opera, Spring Awakening, and From the Ground Up. Among the other companies for which she has stage managed are North Shore Music Theatre, Intermezzo Chamber Opera, Prometheus Dance, Boston Children’s Chorus, and the Denver Center Theatre Company (1998 Tony Award), where she worked on the world premieres of The Laramie Project and Give ’Em a Bit of Mystery: Shakespeare and the Old Tradition.

She holds a B.A. in theater with an emphasis in directing from the University of Northern Colorado and is pursuing an A.L.M. in theater at Harvard University.
