Senior Student Success Advisor

Shawn Thomas (he/him) joined the Student Success Advising team in February 2022, after eight years working in the classroom as a middle school social studies teacher. He earned his B.A. in history from UMass Amherst and his M.Ed. from Lesley University. Thomas brings years of experience building strong relationships with students and helping them reach their potential. He enjoys getting to know the talented students of Berklee. In addition to his position as senior success advisor, he is also one of the Student Advising Mentor Program supervisors. 

When not at Berklee, you can find Thomas performing improv at Union Comedy in Somerville with his house team “Clyde.” He also enjoys cooking, baking, and taking unnecessary trips to Target.
